The rock cycle is far more complicated than a simple arrow connecting metamorphic, sedimentary and igneous rocks. The rock cycle is part of a large geochemical cycle that includes the sulphur, carbon and water cycles. The rock cycle is the engine of our planet and dovetails with every other cycle, including the atmospheric cycle.

The content covers the new Version 9.0 Australian Curriculum (Earth and Space Sciences), namely, AC9S8U04, AC9S8H01 (Year 8).
