Rocking Years 8 to 12 - Our Rock Kit and Teaching Pack explained 2019

This webinar is FREE for a teacher who has purchased or is with a school that has purchased a TESEP Rock Kit. It is not available to those who have not purchased a kit.

This introductory PD explains what is in the TESEP Rock Kit and what is available in the Teaching Pack (in our password protected area) to teachers and schools that purchase the kit.

Additional webinars will delve into the details of each rock type and how to use the extension resources in our password protected area.

NSW South Coast Teacher Geology Field Trip with PD1 and PD9 content

Guided Field study of the south coast region and Professional Development workshops.

This field trip will include local Permian intrusions, fossil rich Permian sediments and modern coastal processes.  In addition theory sessions from the TESEP Rocks and Plate Tectonics PDs will be presented and the TESEP rock kit showcased.

Spaces for this great 3-night, 2-day event are very limited. Register early to ensure you get in!

Sydney area teachers:

Travel plans to be advised

Canberra and South Coast area teachers:
Arrive by own transport the afternoon/evening of  Thursday 27 June.
Depart the morning of Sunday June 30.
Teachers local to the area can arrive before 9am June 28 and depart late June 29  if needed but no discount is available.


Australian National University Kioloa Coastal Campus.
Cabin style rooms shared with 2 or more other teachers.
Meals will be arranged by TESEP but taken small-group-self-catering style in the kitchens provided..

Bedding: Bed and mattresses in shared rooms. You must provide your own pillow case, bottom sheet and bath towel together with a sleeping bag or other sheets and blankets. Linen can be supplied but a hire fee of $30 applies. A $30 linen pack must be hired if you forget any of these items as they are not hired out individually.

Cost for the full event (meals and accommodation and PD): $250 with $30 extra if linen is required.

Clothing: The weather will be cold and it may be wet. You must bring wind proof cold weather clothes, rain coat and hat. We will visit the outcrops in all but the most inclement weather! A change of clothes for each day for inside activities is essential!
Footwear: The rocks are not easy walking and require care. Sturdy boots with ankle support [with warm socks] are recommended. Dry indoor shoes for indoor activites are essential.
